Overview

The buyer portal is a separate, white-labeled interface for your buyers. They can view their leads, track delivery status, see performance metrics, and submit returns — all without seeing your costs or other buyers.

Enabling a Portal

  • Go to the buyer's detail page and click Enable Portal.
  • A separate Clerk organization is created for the buyer.
  • Invite the buyer's team members to their portal org.
  • They sign in at the same domain and are automatically routed to the portal view.

What Buyers See

  • Their leads with contact details, status, and timestamps.
  • Performance dashboard — lead count, acceptance rate, return rate.
  • Return management — submit returns with reasons.
  • Account settings and team management.

Portal users only see data scoped to their buyer account within your organization. They can never access your agency dashboard or see other buyers' data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Buyer Portal white-labeled?
Yes — buyers see a portal with their own branding (logo, colors, name) rather than Lead Distro AI's branding. The portal lives on the same domain as your main account but uses a separate Clerk organization scoped to the buyer. To them, the portal looks like a private extension of your agency's brand, not a third-party tool.
Can I host the Buyer Portal on a custom domain for each buyer?
Per-buyer custom domains are on the roadmap but not in the current release — today all buyer portals share the main Lead Distro AI domain with isolated Clerk org sessions for security. You can request a custom subdomain (e.g., clients.youragency.com) via support for agency-level white-labeling that covers all buyers under your org.
How do I invite a buyer's team to their portal?
From the buyer detail page, click Enable Portal. A separate Clerk organization is created for that buyer. Use Clerk's standard Invite Members flow inside the buyer's portal org to add their team members by email. They sign in at the same domain and are automatically routed to the portal view based on their org membership — no separate URL or login.
What can buyers see and do in the portal?
Their leads (with full contact details, status, and timestamps), performance dashboard (lead count, acceptance rate, return rate, conversion outcomes when buyers push them back), return management (submit returns with reasons, see return history), and account settings (team management, delivery method config, contact info). They cannot see your costs, your supplier list, other buyers' data, or anything outside their scoped buyer account.
How does the returns flow work?
Buyers submit returns from the portal with a reason (bad contact info, wrong vertical, duplicate, TCPA risk, etc.). Returns appear in your dashboard for review — accept the return (lead is reversed in P&L), reject it (no change), or open a thread with the buyer to negotiate. Configure auto-accept thresholds per buyer (e.g., automatically accept returns within 24 hours of delivery) to reduce manual review.
Is the Buyer Portal mobile-friendly?
Yes. The portal uses the same responsive layout as the main dashboard, so buyers can review leads, check performance, and submit returns on mobile. The lead detail view and return submission flow are optimized for one-handed mobile use — important since many lead buyers (intake staff at law firms, dispatchers at home-services companies) work from phones or tablets in field environments.
Can a buyer access multiple Buyer Portals from one login?
Yes. Each buyer's portal is its own Clerk organization, and Clerk supports switching between orgs from a single user account. A buyer who works with multiple lead distribution providers (all using Lead Distro AI) can switch between their portals from the org-picker in the top nav without re-authenticating.
